Software support for the C3 Camera Link™ model

With the Camera Link™ interface, the camera can either be programmed offline by a single configuration of the camera using the C3-Explorer software tool or it can be programmed online by the user application. In the event that the camera is to be used with a constant configuration, this can be operated like a standard Camera Link™ camera without additional software interfaces specific to the camera in question. In this event, programming is limited to application-specific image processing using an image-processing library (e.g. MIL, IFC, Halcon, LabView, CVB) which supports the selected Frame Grabber, see the illustration below.

If you want to change the configuration from the application software, then you can use the DLL that is also provided (or attached source code) to implement the camera-specific record. Access to the Frame Grabber can in this situation, as in the previous instance, be performed using a standard image-processing library, see diagram below.

Alternatively, a C3Lib DLL version with an implemented grab function can be used to access the Frame Grabber and the camera data.
